That would be acceptable as long as the pickets are the same height and about the same
width/spacing. However, you should take before and after pictures and hold onto them for a
while. While Orono does not have much sidewalk it has no shortage of sidewalk
superintendents.

It's a wood picket fence that's about 3 feet tall and in a few of the sections the pickets
have been damaged. We would be replacing the sections where the pickets have been damaged.

I have an existing property fence that needs repair this spring. It exists within the 75 ft setback and has been
there since my grandparents owned the property in the 1950's. I realize that there are new codes on installing
fences near the lakeshore - but can I make needed repairs since this is an existing fence?
