Dear Mr. Cooperman:
On May 12, 1994 this office received an application for a building permit to construct an
elevator shaft at the above referenced property. A review of the application revealed the
following:
1) Proposed addition not shown on survey. Presumed location does not meet the
required 30' setback to the side property line.
2) Hardcover calculations not provided as required on lakeshore lots. Survey
provided indicates the property was at 29.7% in the 75' to 250' zone in 1979.
Allowable hardcover in this zone is 25%.
3) Building permit must be issued to a licensed contractor or the home owner - no
contractor listed. Is elevator contractor doing entire job or just installation of
equipment?
