: Aad a phone conversation yesaArday with Paul Larson the realtor for ''^
, t2e above refezenced property which was intended to be purchaaed by Alice '
Fo+vler, etal. Larson noted that he feels there are suitable septic sites ,
on the prope-ty that will not be diturbed by the proposed grading work on
' the property. Z told him that septic testing would obviously be needed to ',' "
verify the location and the suitab3.'ity of septic sites and Z gave hn the
i, , names of septic site evaluators. ' also told him that whi2e it might be "" ;
 feasible to still glace houses in the area of grading once the finn7 ` '
q, gradinq and 2 feet of fill is place, it would still be impoas:ble to tise '"
any disturbed areas for septic systms. Z also szqgested stronqly to him ,'
that if testing does find suitable sites, they should be secuzely fenced s"`'
off to insure that no qrading equiment or traffic disrupts them. In ao „
ray did 1 guazantee that t!e property was subdividable or that we wonld .
ccet drainfie2d sites without testing or that had been disturbed.

  Sltbjects Proposed Gradin at350 Norh Arm Lane
'' Based on the Hennepin County Soil Survey Maps, the soils at the site
of your proposad grading project are cenerally only suitable for mound-type
drainfields when undisturbed. There is an extremely hiqh likelyhood of :;
 compaction aad smearing 4f cTay soils on the site with a proect of this -`.
maqnitude, as well as 3isruption or destruction of the natural root and :,
xorm channels and the natural internal fracture system in the topsoil. Tha
xesvltant hydraulic capabilities fn relation to suitability for aeptic
  systems will likely be much poorer, and less predictable. For thesA
reasons, septic systems are generally not allowed on disturbed soils. This
is common knowZedge throughout the on-site sewage treatment industry and
 was not an issue in your current dregzng/spoil disposal application until
 ;- a potential buyez of the property recuested subdivision information.
