RE: 1305 North Arm Drive- Fireplace clearances
Dear Mr. Beutler,
This letter is to confirm our conversations regarding fireplace clearances at 1305 North arm Drive.
When you remodeled and added a second story to the residence the fireplace was refaced with wood
and tile. Unfortunately the wood covering on the sides does not meet the required 2" clearance to
combustibles. This lack of clearance is a fire hazard and must be corrected. The wood could be
removed and replaced at the proper clearance or the wood could be removed and the tile could be
adhered directly to the fireplace. No permit will be required to do this correction , however we will
need to conduct an inspection when the wood is removed and when the work is completed. If you
