Dear Mike:
We have reviewed the revised plans for the proposed shoreline improvements at 740 North Arm Drive. The
revised plan proposes to remove an existing boat house and stabilize the disturbed shoreline with plantings.We
have the following comments with regards to engineering matters:
• The plans should include proposed erosion controls.All silt fence should be the heavy duty type with
steel t-posts.
• The previously submitted plan showed a swale to convey water to the lake along the south lot line.The
revised plans should incorporate the same swale design to contain storm water on the subject property.
• The plans should identify the proposed trail surfacing material.
• The plans should clarify where the 3-inches of hardwood mulch will be placed.
• All erosion control measures should be inspected and approved by the city prior to any work on site.
The erosion control should be maintained and remain in place until the vegetation is established and
the slopes are stabilized.
