RE: Entrance Monuments - 90 Myrtlewood Road
Dear Mr. Thompson:
As we discussed on site, the entrance monuments you recently constructed require a building
permit and must meet the requirements of the Orono Zoning Code. Monuments more than 3'/z'
high require a 5' setback from the property line. Monuments 3'/z' or less can be placed at the
property line. It appears the monuments are at the property line.
Therefore, the Citv must reqwire you to verify the location. If they do not meet a 5' setback
from the front property line, you have the option of lowering them to 3'/z' total height (including
lighting) or move the structures to meet the 5' setback. Action to correct the violation must -
be taken before September 5, 1994. If this deadline is not met, the City may initiate legal
