I was at the site about a year ago and the location of the proposed addition is in the area where there was some hardcover already as I recall. As we discussed, the proposed stairway is very close to the existing mound system but given the fact that sewer is available and they are committed to hooking up to the sewer soon I see no problems from an engineering perspective. I am told the owners will be "hooking up to sewer soon" so proximity to their existing septic mound was not reviewed.
