Summary of Estimated Costs: Following is a summary of additional costs that you will incur at
the time of making connections:
Sewer: Metropolitan Council SAC: $2,000.00
City of Orono Connection Permit: $ 50.00 `�
City of Wayzata Sewer Connection Charge: $ 525.00
Grinder pump station, abandonment of septic tank

The City policy states that sewer connections must be completed by the date that a
nonconforming septic system would need to be replaced. The time frame for replacement of
nonconforming septic systems is December 31, 2010 on a city wide basis. Water connections are
optional and there are no deadlines to complete connections to the water system.
Grinder Pump Requirements
The sewer system installed is a pressure system and all properties will need to install, operate
and maintain their own grinder pumps. The grinder pumps installed will be required to meet
certain operating parameters to function adequately with this system. All pumps must be a
progressive cavity type pump as manufactured by E/one or an approved equal. Your plumber witl
need to provide the City information on the proposed type of pump used when obtaining a sewer
connection permit.
