Please note, because the entrance monuments also served to display your house number an alternate must be provided. According to the 2015 Minnesota Fire Code and the 2015 Minnesota Residential Building Code all buildings must have the house number legible (4" minimum height)and visible from the street. Buildings shall have approved address numbers, building numbers or approved building identification placed in a position that is plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background. Address numbers shall be Arabic numbers or alphabetical letters. Numbers shall be a minimum of 4 inches (102 mm) high with a minimum stroke width of�/2 inch (12.7 mm). Where access is by means of a private road and the building address cannot be viewed from the public way, a monument, pole or other sign or means shall be used to identify the structure. Also during the visit it was observed there are some areas of the lawn without established vegetation. Attached are photos. Final stabilization must be established in the areas of exposed soil. A uniform perennial vegetative cover with a density of 75 percent must obtained. The act of sowing grass is not considered final stabilization, plantings must be r� owin�. I believe we will be applying for a variance, but that will be the call of the homeowners and I hadn't heard back from them yet. If that is the case, is the city willing to give us the CO with the stipulation that there is an application in for a variance? If the variance is not granted,they will make the adjustment at that time. As it stands,the monuments do not pose any safety concern for living there, as a matter of fact they actually light up that particular portion of the road. I know I'm asking a lot, but can you check on that with Melanie and Adam?
