JtINR CARS, FDRNITURL�, HOOSEHOLD FURNISAINGS AND APPLIANCES STORBD ON PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY. It is unlawful to park or store any unlicensed, unregistered or inoperable motor vehicle lacking essential parts , household furnishings or appliances, or parts or components thereof, on any property, public or private, unless housed within a lawfully erected building. Any violation of this Section is declared to be a nuisance and upon seven days written notice to the owner, as shown by the records in the office of the County Auditor, of private premises on which such material is found, the City may remove the same and certify the cost of such removal as any other special assessment. For the purpose of this Section, an inoperable mo�or vehicle shall be defined as lacking, including but not limited to, parts essential to operation, such parts being wheels, tires, moto.r, drive train, hattery, or having two or more flat tires, or having the interior, including the driver's positi.on, used for storage in such a manner that no person can operate the vehicle. SEC. 9.55. MAINTSNANCE OF PRIVATE PROPERTY. �_Subd. 1. It is the duty of the owner of every vacant property and the owner and occupant of every occupied property to maintain same in a neat, clean and presentable manner free of any junk, debris, refuse, litter, dead trees, or noxious weeds, and to remove all other public health or safety hazards therefrom. Subd. 2. Grass and Weeds. The owner or occupant of every lot or parcel shall regularly cut or otherwise maintain all grass and weeds thereon at a height of not more than six (6) inches. P lease take action to comp ly with the above orc�inance requirement(s) by 4/20�92 . A follow-up inspection will be made at that time to verify compliance. As of this date, little progress has been made in removing these violations. A site inspection on November 2, 1992 revealed not only unlicensed inoperable vehicles, but also a boat + stored in violation of Orono Municipal Code Section 10.60 , Subdivision 13, and an addition to the garage without a building permit. Your failure to remove the unlicensed inoperable vehicles leaves the City no alternative but to issue the enclosed Citation #392- 0 419 6 8. The City must a 1 so require you to remove the boat f rom the property and to either remove the addition to the garage or file an after-the-fact building permit application with the required submittals (application enclosed). The City is now requiring you to remove all violations by November 16, 1992 or the matter will be referred to the City Attorney for the preparation of a formal complaint. Mound, Minnesota 55364 Re: Maintenance of Private Property Dear Mr. Ruff: The City is again receiving complaints about the appearance of your property at 1545 Minnie Avenue in Orono. A site inspection was conducted on May 6, 1993 and the property was found to be in violation of Orono Municipal Code Section 9.55 - Maintenance of Private Property and Section 10.60, Subdivision 13 - Exterior Storage. Therefore the City must require you to eliminate the violations before May 24, 1993.
