HELD JITNE 6, 1994
The Council met on the above date with the following members present; Mayor Callahan, and
Councilmembers Jabbour, Goetten, Hurr and Kelley. The following represented staff; Ron
Moorse, City Administrator; Steve Sullivan, Police Cluef. The meeting was called to order at
8:00 a.m.
The City Council met with the City Administrator and the Police Chief to discuss the
performance of the Police Chief and police operations issues. The Council discussed areas of
satisfactory performance and areas needing improvement. Based on the level of performance
Mayor Callahan moved and Councilmember Kelley seconded that the Police Chief's salary be
adjusted to Step 4 of the Police Chief pay range, effective June 6, 1994. Ayes; Callahan,
Goetten and Kelley. Nays; Jabbour and Hurr.
The Council directed staff to provide periodic updates regarding police operations issues to
ensure the department is operating effectively.
The Council reviewed police staffing and organization needs and directed staff to develop a
proposal for its recommended supervisory structure.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
