The Minnesota State Permit to Acquire handguns is for that
purpose only. It does not allow you to carry a loaded, con-
cealed handqun in the public or to display same in the public.

; Our investigation has revealed that you are eligible under
Mi�nesota State Statute 624.713, for a permit to acquire a
handgun.
- : I caution you that Minnesota State Statute 624.714, carry-
ing of weapons without a permit, is restrictive and has penal-
ties of both a gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor under that
statute.
