A RESOLUTION
GRANTING A ONE YEAR EXTENSION
TO THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF
GENERAL CONCEPT PLAN AND PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL
ESTABLISHED PER RESOLUTION NO. 6655

WHEREAS, on July 25, 2016, the City Council of the City of Orono (the "City")
adopted Resolution No. 6655 granting preliminary plat and general concept plan approval for
subdivision of property located at 3245 Wayzata Boulevard;and
WHEREAS, City of Orono Municipal Code Section 82-117 establishes that
preliminary plat approval is effective for one year from the date of such approval, and failure
to file a complete fnal subdivision application within this time period shall be considered as
formal withdrawal of the proposed subdivision; and
WHEREAS, due to market conditions and other reasons, applicant Lakewest LLC
is planning to temporarily delay development of the prope�ty but wishes to maintain the ability
to proceed with the development at a future date in accordance with the prior approvals
granted in Resolution No. 6655.; and
WHEREAS, Lakewest LLC has requested a one-year extension of the effective
period of preliminary plat and general concept plan approval, to July 25, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Orono, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The effe�tive period of preliminary plat approval is hereby extended to
July 25, 2018; and
2. All other terms and conditions of Resolution No. 6655 are hereby
rea�rmed.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held on the 22nd day of May, 2017.
