RE: Work Without Building Permit
Dear Mr. Mittelstaedt:
It has come to the attention of this department that you have recently constructed an addition to
the rear of your gara�e and did some remodeling on your house at 3468 Lyric Avenue. This
letter is to notify you of the requirement of a �uilding permit for this work.
Therefore the City must require you to remove the improvements or to provide a building permit
application with the required submittals for review before January 10, 1994. If this deadline is
not met, the City may initiate legal action. If you have any questions or if I can assist you in
any way, please feel free to contact me at my office.

Dear Mr. Mittelstaedt:
On December 21, 1993 this office notified you of building permit requirements for a garage
addition and remodeling on your home at 3468 Lyric Avenue. You attempted to contact me and
I attempted to return your calls. As of this date, we have not made contact and a building
permit application has not been filed.
'This letter is to require you to remove the improvements or file a building permit application
with building plans and a survey before March 16, 1994. If this deadline is not met, the City
will initiate legal action. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my office.

The City has completed a review of your after-e�t t application for your garage addition.
Two problems prevent issuance of the buildmg p
1, 10' setback required to rear property line.
The existing garage is 19.1' from rear which would allow for a 9.1' addition.
Your addition is 11' 4" wide.
2. 10' setback required between structures.
The existing storage shed is withi.n a few feet of addition.

RE: Building Permit Application
Dear Mr. Mittelstaedt:
On June 1, 1994 this office issued an after-the-fact building permit for an addition to your
garage. As you may recall, the addition was too close to the property line and was required to
meet a 10' setback. As of this date, an inspection to verify this correction has not been
requested by you.
This letter is to notify you that the review of your recent application for a deck will not be
completed until corrections are made on the previous building permit. If you have any
questions, feel free to contact me at my office.
