Quick question: The landscape plan submitted today (Connie's email) appears to show one of the Heritage Lane entrance
monuments within the City's right of way, this is a departure from the approved permit plan and cannot be approved.
Is this intentional, or are the property lines not accurately represented on the landscape plan?
Also, do you have a planned start time for the monument construction?

Melanie, I just wanted to also say that we are working on getting the actual plant species and tree species put on
the plan. They are meeting Onsite today at 4:15 to push forward on their decisions.

Hi Michael
I had a chance to go over the plans and provide a few comments. Ultimately the plan doesn't show everything we need it
to. Please review my comments and provide a revised plan/additional details:
1. The submitted plans should clearly indicate the designer and the contractor performing the work, as well as the
date of the plans.
2. The property lines and road pavement edges should be clearly identified, reference the approved survey/site plan
foraccuracy.
3. The trees within the City's right-of-way cut late last fall should be identified (stump locations, sizes, etc if
available).
4. OHWL of Lake Minnetonka should be identified for setback verification and reference (929.4').
5. Also, regarding the area within 75-feet of the lake, all existing trees and vegetation to be removed should be
shown.
6. Erosion control should be indicated on the plan, particularly within the 75-foot setback area and wherever
clearing or invasive species removals are proposed.
7. Seed mix for groundcover/soil stabilization should be provided for areas cleared within the 75-foot setback.
8. The proposed stair and landing is much larger than we permit without variances. It is staff's opinion that this size
stair will not be approved. As we discussed on site, staff would recommend reducing any proposed lake access
stair system to the maximum permitted (4-feet wide). See Code. A separate permit will be required for the stair
improvements (attached).
9. Any structural improvements proposed within the County right-of-way will need Hennepin County approval. A
copy of the County's approval should accompany permits for construction.
10. Finally, the font sizes for the plant/tree identification is difFicult to read, yet the paper size/scale seems
appropriate.
Please let me know if you need clarification on any of the above comments.

Good morning, Michael.
Landscape plans for 1830 Shoreline Drive were dropped off yesterday. They appear to show some additional planting
improvements on the lakeshore area. When we discussed this project we indicated the City would need a complete
removal and planting plan. Is there more information to be submitted?This appears to be a planting plan only. Do you
have time to stop in today to discuss this and provide clarification?
