I'm wondering how to get a scaled copy of the survey to show the layout. Also, I didn't get any response to the question about how quickly beyond the right of way that the driveway can go beyond 20 feet. How quickly will we have a permit after we are able to complete the application? I'm trying to keep the contractor on schedule. There was going to be an inspection pertaining to the retaining wall to make our driveway safer so nobody backs off the hill and I hadn't heard anything about that. Was there a determination? Finally, I was curious as to why a zoning permit is required when the street we live on is considered a private road and the city doesn't maintain it. Doesn't that mean it falls under the HOA jurisdiction? Per our discussion last week approval of a Zoning Permit is needed in order to change the existing driveway on your property. Attached is a copy of the Zoning Permit Application. When submitting the Zoning Permit application, draw/indicate on a scaled copy of the survey the area(s)you would like to expand and show the proposed layout. Please note per Citv Code Section 78-967 no land alteration can be conducted within 5 feet of the property line. According to Citv Code Section 18-136 a residential driveway approach shall not exceed 20 feet in width at the right of way. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. When I called earlier this week and spoke with Christine, I drew her attention to the fact that it had been sent on Friday and Sathre-Berquist verified it had not bounced back (as it had with my address when it was wrong). I'd mentioned last week that our contractor is scheduled for mid May so we really need to have this expedited but I don't have any information on what's happening, expected time frame, process for obtaining the.permit, etc. I know that you are very busy. I appreciate any communication you can give me that will help me set appropriate expectations for time frames for everyone involved and next steps.
