MICHAEL P. GAFFRON

FOR MORE THAN 39 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF ORONO

WHEREAS, Michael P. Gaffron has served the City of Orono since February 6, 1978 in ,
�� various capacities, includin� On Site Systems Manager, Septic Systems Inspector, Assistant
Planning and Zoning Administrator, Senior Planning Coordinator, Planning Director, Assistant
��, City Administrator-Long Term Strategy, Senior Planner; and
� WHEREAS, Michael has skillfully and consistently upheld the vision of the City of
Orono throughout his career; and ,I

WHEREAS, Michael's career with the City has been marked by a strong commitment to
the protection of the environment and the best interests of the community; and

WHEREAS, Michael has earned the respect and friendship of residents, applicants, ���
��I� developers, co-workers, Commission and Council members for his parience, kindness,
�(i knowledge, history, and thorough record keeping; and
WHEREAS, Michael has proven to be an irreplaceable and invaluable asset to the City

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the City of
',I� Orono does hereby express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Michael P. Gaffron for his
'i dedicated service to the i n
C ty, a d does highly commend him for the manner in which he has
carried out his duties and responsibilities.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby extend to Michael
its best wishes for a long and healthy retirement. j.
