HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-22-2017 Council Work Session Minutes MINUTES OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION Monday,May 22,2017 6:00 p.m. PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Walsh, Council Members Richard Crosby II, Wendy Dankey, Aaron Printup. Representing Staff were Interim City Administrator poug Reeder, and Police Chief Correy Farniok. Mayor Walsh called the work session to order at 6:00 p.m. 1. Mark Kroll—LMCD Candidate The City Council interviewed Mark Kroll for possible appointment as Orono's Lake Minnetonka Conservation District Board Representative. 2. Minutes Discussion The City Council discussed the idea of shortening the City Council Minutes by not including a verbatim Staff reports since they are already available in the agenda packet. After discussion,the City Council concurred with staff recommendation,that the City Council Minutes not include verbatim of its Staff report while it appears in the agenda packet. 3. Securitv—Correv Farniok Police Chief Farniok discussed with the City Council security measures which should be taken at City Hall. 4. Carman Bav Lake Improvement District addition for Regular Meetin� Interim City Administrator poug Reeder informed the City Council that he would like to add an item to the Regular City Council agenda,to set a public hearing for the establishment of the Carman Bay Lake Improvement District.
