On June 22, 2012 the City received a permit application for a deck at the above property. Your application
is incomplete. The following items must be submitted or revised in order for your application to be
considered complete and for the plan review to continue:
1. Certificate of Survey. The survey must match the proposed deck plans submitted. Please update
the survey to match the proposed deck plans.
2. Clarification. The survey and hardcover calculations submitted also show a proposed rock wall,
proposed concrete patio, demolition of a shed and proposed garage. We did not receive plans for
these proje�ts. Are these future projects? Or should they be included in this permit? Are the stairs
being removed, or is the deck being constructed over the top. The plans and survey should also
reflect the plan for the stairs.
3. Escrow 8� Escrow Agreement. Building permits involving grading and/or review by the City's
engineer require submittal of an escrow and an escrow agreement. The purpose of the escrow is to
guarantee reimbursement to the City for out-of-pocket costs incurred during the review of your plans.
Additionally this escrow will guarantee conformance with City Code Chapter 79 relating to erosion
control and stormwater. The required building permit escrow for new construction is $2,500.00. At
this time, it appears there is no grading involved so the required escrow for this project is $600. The
escrow agreement is enclosed. The property owner must sign the escrow agreement and submit a
check for$600.
Should the other items listed above become part of this project additional plans, fees and/or additional
escrow money will be required. The above information is required to be submitted in order for the plan

On July 2, 2012 the City requested clarification of the project(s) proposed. An updated survey
was received on September 28, 2012 still showing several proposed projects. The note
attached states only the deck project is being proposed at this time. Surveys must reflect the
I _ current state of the property with only the proposed project shown, not all future projects. If the
deck is the only project you are proposing to construct at this time, please have the sunrey
updated to reflect the deck project only; do not include other future/unapproved projects.
