M. : There were present: H. R. Ross, Mayor, ;;�;:-��-�::: R. C. Bagley, K. Turnham, R. Neddermeyer and E. 0. Wood, Trustees . . G. A. Hanson, Assessor A. G. Stinson, Foreman W. E. Neinecke, Treasurer and G. Ross, Constable. On motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the read�ng of the Minutes of the July 8, 1957 Meeting �aas dispensed with. R. De�ngo�sk� submitted a revised plan for the division of his �:"�:�`�:;:::'-_;-` property in accordance with recorrunendation of the Planning _ Commission and the same was approved b� the �oard. - Emo Berl�m.ess asked that the Council consider improvement of the Village xoad leading in to his propert� from Highwood. The Council agreed to have its representatives exa.r��ine this and report. Vern Steinkamp sought permission to erect another building on his parcel of land off County Road #51• George Hanson and R. C. Bagley agreed to look into this and the Council indicated approv�l subject to favorable reaction on the part of these examiners. Emory White asked that the Council gine consideration to partici- �_,_ _ pating with the Orono School Board in sharing equally the approx- ` ''-= �`-f= imate annual expense of ,`�.'1500.00 to maintaining the Old Hill School - House as a branch unit of the Hennepin �ounty Library system. No action was taken but the matter would be discussed further. A delegation of Orono residents representing those who wished to have the Village acquire a bathing beach at Crystal Bay, as well as a group of property owners in the surrounding area, presented their opposite views to theBoard relative to this project. After lengthy discussion the Board agreed to review the arguments presented and come to a later decision as to procedure. A letter from H. Carl Gruenrud, Route r�r`1, Wayzata, concerr_ing road conditions, was read and referred to 0 . E. Johnson, C1erY, �, , for reply after return from his vacation. (CONT'D) appraiser to submit an approximation of what amount of award might be made to all the interested property owners in a con- �..;_�� demnation proceeding to assure a sixty-six foot access to the Lake on County Road #51, extended, and if that appraisal be no more than a nominal amount, the Village Attorney institute condemnation proceedings forthwith and negotiate a proper agreement with Mrs. Mitchell. The motion was carried with five "Ayes" and no '�Nays" . - A letter to the Board from A. K. Simonsen was read explaining that certain tile on the north side of the County Road #19 should be removed or destroyed. The Board approved of this being done .,��; � �� and agreed to authorize the County nighwas Department to comply. � � The Boar� unanimously resolved that whenever in the opinion of ,i, its representatives, conditions warranted it, a plat of survey �;_b,;;-.._� would have to be furnished by any applicant wishing to build or add on to existing facilities; such plat must show the location _ of existing buildings and the proposed location of new or added structures. Mr. Turnham pointed out that four "No Littering" signs were ready to be picked up at t he LickeS & Milbert Service Station.
