Bay swimming beach.He was ac�viaed that the matter wa$ noA in ��he hands of our Attorney for a further check and adviee. �i 1r.Henry Jackson of Navarre,appeared requesting permiseion to erect a garage � ' �n his property, f ive feet f rom ad�oining property line.Council approved thia � h �°�quest sub�ect to the written approval of' the ad�joining property owner. � ' Tr.Victor Norton appeared regarding the sub-division of hie land at 8tubbg � ;�y requesting approval of a building permit.He had previoualy contacted � `,he Planning Commission and been requested to submit plat and plane. � 'ouncil agrced to ��prove his request f or a building permit eub�ject to the � ��pproval of the Pla.nning Commission. � �tic Council approved a contr�,�t submitted by the Great Northem Ry.for the � �ise of former station grounds at Crystal Bay as a public parking area, ��ricipally for the use oY patrons of the swimming beach,with the further � �inder�tanding that no change would be made in the preeent poeted parking ��estrictione on County Roads �# I5 and # 5I. �1 proposal of' Busch Inc. �Minneapolie,for police protection within the Villagd ' � i.imits was read and re�ected. ; i �n motion of Turnham, scconded by Bagley,memb�rship dues of the League of � � Tinnesota Municipalities was approved for a one year period from Sept.I, I956 .� � ��nd unanimously carried. • � l 4rQ .Maud A.Johnaon and othera a.ppeared requesting a county eurvey involving •� petition filed for the vacation of a portion of' Portland P1ace,Saga Hill � ��.evised.'I'he Clerk was instructed to contact the County Surveyor� e off ice ��Pcauesting that this be done.
