MINUTES OF MEETING ��ELD IN THE VILLAGE
HALL ON July 25, 1955 at �C:30 P.M.

recorded tho minutes.
It was moved and secondec� that the minutes of the
last meeting held on July 11, 1955 be approved as read.
Mr. Carl Phil;l_ippi, representing the Orono Taxpay-
ers � Associat:ion, appe�red with a requeat that the Board review
certain information which he supplied relatin� to Rural Hennepin
County Park Bill passed by the 195� legislaturo .

? Mrs. Floyd Coti�eral, represented �tho law firm of
Bonham & Kavanagh appeared, as did a substantial delegation
of residents, toP�est her eviction from conduct:ing a farm pro- ,
duce business at the Orono Corner. After considerable testi-
mony had been given the P�fayor stated that the matter would be
taken under advisoment pending furthQr investigation and a
chec�: on the legal aspects involved.
r, Mr. P�1. A. R. Krogness requested that the Lake Painting
Company be asked to remove its sign from the highway, it being ,
pointed out that this was in violation of an existing ordinance.
He was advised that the matter would be given attention by the
Bo�rd.
Mr. Feriss, Roctor of the Cryst;al Bay Presb�terian
Church, appeared before the Board and requested that 'Stop'�
sign.s bo provided on the Village road near his church. He was
to�ld that every efiort would be made to provide same in the
near futuro . His furthor request that an oil coat be put on ,
Fox Road was taken under advisc�ment. � '
� Mr. Fisher rqquested the Board to see to it that an
improvement bo made at the turn in the Village road near Ted
Maxwell' s garden. This was taken under advisernont .

Mr . Pauly po3.nted out that a serious surface water '
problem had developed at his property off of #L4.3 near Forest
Lake . Water was running under the Village road through a cul-
vert and over tlis proporty. It was poin�;ed out that there
appeared to be no satisfactory solution of the problem and that
since this was a natural water course anyway there was probably
nothing that tho Board could do .to correct it.

Mr. Carl Phillippi appearod again for the purpose of
asking that the Town Hall be made avail.able to the Orono Tax-
payers ' Association on August 9th for a meeting. He was told
that this met with the approval of the Board.
Mr. Frank Reinhardt callod nttention to the fact that
there was a house trailer located approximately across from the �
Sandy Beach Grocery, in violation of an ordinance. G. A. Hanson
was asked to checic with the owner, Don Eclnnan, on this. '.
Irdm. Kelly reparted �'or tho Planning Commission that
they had cloared the James I. Best pe�ition j��y�� for vaca�ion
of propertJ. It was then moved, seconded and unanimously car-
ried that the petit�on f or vacation of that particular piece
of property be granted.

tee had done to draft this Ordinance . �

Mr. White made a request �o the Board that the east- �
west road nQar the James I. Best vacated piece of property �
previously referred to be improved. The m�tter was takein. under ;
advisement. �
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried to j
