Special Meeting of the Orono Council, January 5 , 1983
The Orono Council met on the above date with
the following members present : Mayor Butler,
Council.members Adams , Frahm, and Grabek. ?�lso
present: Cit�� Administrator Benson and City
Clerk Strom.
OATH OF OFFICE
City Clerk Strom administered the Oath of Office
to Mayor Mary Butler, and Councilmembers Adams,
Frahm, and Grabek. .
APPOINT COUNCILPdEMBER
HAMMEREL
Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Frahm seconded,
to appoint John C. Hammerel, 4045 Bayside Road,
to the City Council . Motion, Ayes (4 ) - Nays (0 ) .
PLANNING COMMISSION
APPOINTMENTS
Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Grabek seconded,
to reappoint Charles Kelley to the Planning
Commission for a three-year term, and to appoint
Lynn Adams to fill the vacancy of John Hamm�rel.
Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0 ) . '
PARK COMMISSION
APPOINTMENTS
Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Grabek seconded,
to reappoint Lester Keiley to the Park Commission
for a three-y�ar term, and to appoint Paul Taylor
to fill the unexpired term of Lee Tomlinson which
expires December 31, 1984 . Motion, Ayes (4) -
Nays (0) .
HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION
APPOINTMENTS
Councilmember Grabek moved, Councilmember Frahm
seconded, to reappoint Betty Phelan, Mary Vogel,
and Sandy Welsh f.or another three-year term on
the Human Rights Commission. Motion, Ayes (4) -
Nays (0) .
PARK COMMISSION
COUNCILMEMBER APPOINTMENT
Councilmember Grabek moved, M,ayor Butler seconded,
that the Council representative to the Park Com-
mission alternate monthly. Motion, Ayes (4 ) -
Nay s (0) .

to adopt Resolution #1449 , A Resozution Designating
Appointments For The Year 1983 . Motion, Ayes (4 ) -
Nays (0) .
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Butler moved, Councilmember Grabek seconded,
that the meeting be adjourned at 7 : 52 P.M. Motion,
