Mavor Van Nest anrounced tnat he arid his wife NORMAN PAURUS DAY
would like to have a party in honor of Norm
Paurus at their home Sunday a*ternoon , October
18th at 5 : 00 P .M. , inviting al� the commissions
and all cit�� employees , �:�c some good friends .
Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded , to appoint APPOZN`I'MENT OF TOM
Tom Frahm from the Plannir.g Commission to fill FR.AHM COUNCILMEMBER

the City of Medina to rc;turn the two extra

Hurr abstained.
Van :�est moved , Butler seconded to adopt RESOLUTION # 1321
Resoultion �132? Opposing Sanitary Landfill OPPOSING SANITARY
At Minnetrista and then allo�a either Mayor LANDFILL AT MINNETRISTA
Van Nest or Dick Benson authorization to
Amend it since it has to be submitted before
th� next regular council �eeti�-:g. Motion , Ayes (4 ) Nays (0)
Var�Nest moved , Butler seconded to pledge ALLOCATION TO CITY OF
$1 ,500 to the City of Minn�trista in its MINNETRISTA
study opposing the locaticn of a solid
waste sanitary landfill in tht� Lake Minnetonka
watershed. Motion , Ayes ( 3) Nays (1) Council-
rnember Jo Ellen Hurr voted Nay.
Butler moved, VanNest seconded to approve APPROVAL REVENUE
the Revenue Sharing for 1982 , sub�ect to SHARING
the expenditures being appro�ed by the
city council . Mayor VanNest requested that
the voting machin�s be reviewed by the city
council before purchase is made . Motion ,

Paurus mr�ved, Butler seconded to approve the salary SALARY INCREASE*
increase for Wayne Quast , Utility Mechanic , at a Wayne Quast
rate of $8 .61 per hour effective September 14 , 1981 .
Motion, Ayes (4) Nays (0)
Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to approve the FALL CLEAN-UP*
Fall clean up day, October 24 , 1981 .
Motion, Ayes (4) Nays (0)
The council requested staff to document for 1982 BUDGET
for the next council meeting a recommendation
including a budqet reduction of $20 , 000 to
$45 , 000 . �
Butler moved, Paurus seconded to adjourn meeting ADJOURNMENT
at 10 :00 P.M. Motion, Ayes (4) Nays (0)
