A recent house fire resulted in extensive property damage. The fire started in the <br /> kitchen and caused extensive smoke and water damage due to firefighting efforts. The house is <br /> full of trash and garbage causing unsanitary conditions. The city has attempted without success <br /> to have the owner repair or remove the hazardous condition of the property. <br /> Based on the findings in the attached report, staff recommends proceeding with a Hazardous <br /> Building Action. It is anticipa�ed that all remediation and legal expenses associated with this <br /> cause of action will be assessed against the property. <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Motion to adopt the attached resolution ordering abatement of hazardous building at 3572 <br /> Livingston Avenue, Orono, MN. <br />
