,. . . <br /> -�' CITY OF ORONO <br /> Special Meeting of the Orono Council, 7 : 30 P .M. <br /> August 14 , 1980 <br /> The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br /> following members present: Mayor Van Nest, Council- <br /> members Butler, Hurr, and Paurus. Absent: Council- <br /> member Hannah. Also present: City Administrator <br /> Benson, City Planner Olson, City Engineer Quincey, <br /> City Attorney Malkerson, and Public Works Coordinator <br /> Gerhardson. <br /> Steve Quincey, City Engineer , reviewed with the MINNETONKA BLUFFS, OR01 <br /> City Council his letter dated August 14 , 1980 , which LANE, WEST FFRNDALE, <br /> relates to revised plans and specifications for the #15, NORTH SHORE DRIVE <br /> Minnetonka Bluffs, West Ferndale Road, Orono Lane, SEWER PROJECTS <br /> County Road #15 and North Shore Drive sanitary sewer <br /> improvements and the affidavit for G & L Contracting <br /> and Orfei and Sons to sign-off on allowing the City <br /> of Orono the right to retain their bond and bids <br /> until October 14 , 1980 . <br /> Letter - August 14 , 1980 <br /> "Please find enclosed the revised set of construction <br /> plans and specifications for the above referenced <br /> project. Note that the project has been divided <br /> into three parts as follows: <br /> Part I - Minnetonka Bluffs and County Road 15 ----- <br /> Part II - Ferndale Road and Orono Lane --- <br /> Part III - North Shore Drive _ <br /> The project will be bid using one set of plans and <br /> specifications rather than breaking these up into <br /> three separate plans and specifications, as was <br /> discussed at the Council meeting of August 11, 1980 . <br /> Doing things in this manner � will minimize costs of <br /> the rebidding process. <br /> Please be advised that our added engineering fees <br /> due to the rebidding -will be $500 . If you have <br /> any questions regarding this letter, please contact <br /> this office. " <br /> End of letter <br /> G & L Contracting Affidavit <br /> "In consideration of the payment of $1.00 , receipt of <br /> which is hereby acknowledged, G & L Contracting being <br /> the third lowest bidder on the above referenced project, <br /> give the City Council of Orono the right to retain our <br /> bond and bids until October 14 , 1980 . We realize that <br /> the date of October 14 allows the City of Orono approximately <br /> ten (10) additional days in which to consider the bid. <br /> Any portion of those 10 days used for consideration will be <br /> added to the contract completion date. " <br />
