BEDERTa00D PA�2K <br /> Peggy �aatson, and Coach Al1an Rezabek were present <br /> concerning a baseball diarnond at Bederwood Park. <br /> The following letter to Mayor Van I1est from the <br /> Park Corunission, dated June 10, 1979 , states: <br /> "r�tembers of the City Council have requested <br /> additional inforr.iation on the need for a larger <br /> baseball field in Bederwood Parlc. <br /> At the present time, there is only one re�ulation <br /> size �ield in the area. It is located behind <br /> Orono I'Iiddle Scnool and is being used by six tearzs. <br /> Over one hundred pla��ers com�ose the teams. It <br /> is expected that the number of 13-15 year old <br /> participants will double in the next fe�a 1�ears. <br /> The field is unlighted. This neans that all games <br /> are played between the time the coaches arrive <br /> hone from work and dark. As a result, coaches <br /> � have to schedule many "a�va_y" games , miles fror!m Orono. <br /> (Continued) <br />
