Alan Olson, City Planner, inforr►ed the City JOINT MEETING DATE <br /> Council that a joint meeting with the Comprehensive Noveraber 30, 1978 <br /> Planners will be held Thursday, November 30, 1978 <br /> at 7: 30 P.ts. <br /> Mr. Alan Olson, City Planner, inforr_ied the City FLOOD PLAIN MAPdAGEMENT <br /> Council of the flood plain management ordinance ORDIIdANCE <br /> that is in their packets. It was created bv <br /> collating our 4�etlands Ordinance with the Depart- <br /> ment of tlatural Resources' model flood plain <br /> ordinance. I think that it bolsters our existing <br /> ordinance in many positive ways, particularly ' <br /> throuc�h better definition and identification of <br /> what the protected area really is. <br /> The terms of the Pdational Flood Insurance Act <br /> are such that insurance will be denied to any of <br /> our residents if such an ordinance is not adopted <br /> before October 17, 1978.
