M. � The Orono City Council met on the above date with the following members present: Mayor � Van Nest, Councilmembers Butler, Massengale, � Paurus, and Welsh. Also present: City Administrator Benson, Assistant Building & � Zoning Administrator Olson, City Engineer Frank, and Representative Searles. � � Mayor Brad Van Nest reviewed the status of Orono' s COMPREHENSIVE SEWER PLA Comprehensive Sewer Plan stating that after several � meetings with the P�letropolitan Council staff, � Orono City staf�, and representatives of the Metro- politan Council, Orono has reached a point where � finalization of the Comprehensive Sewer Plan is at hand. The Orono Sewer Service Areas presently sewered are #1 through #6, as shown on our Sewer Service Maps. Psetropolitan Council staff, Elaine � Stanley and Sandy Dean, have concurred that Sewer � Service Areas #7 & #8 can be retained as a rural area recognizing that Minnetonka Bluffs and the � Crystal Bay Areas should be recognized as two possible potential pollution sources with future � connection to the Orono-Long Lake interceptor in a three to five year time frame after interceptor � construction completion. The remaining homes , scattered throughout Areas #7 & #8 should be monitored in conjuction with Orono' s On-Site � Disposal Regulations to insure that all private systems are operating properly. . This matter � will be on the April 11, 1977 Council agenda for Council review and approval. A Mayor Brad Van Nest and the City Council and TRANSPORTATION PLAN - '� staff discussed Orono' s Transportation Plan, ETC. Dredging Maintenance, Stormwater Management ' Plan, and the Wetlands Ordinance agreeing that these items should also be reviewed as soon as possible. � City Council Work Session adjourned at 1: 30 P.M.
