� Public Hearings held February 19 , 1976 7: 30 P.M.
Super Valu Subdivision & Variances
� The Orono Council met on the above date
� with the following members present: Acting
P•�ayor 1�4assengale, Councilmembers Paurus and
i Welsh. Absent: P�ayor Searles and Council-
• member Butler. Also present: City Administrator
Benson and Building & Zoning Administrator Muhich.

� Acting Mayor P�Zassengale announced that this PUBLIC HEARING
was the time and place for the Public Hearing Super Valu - Navarre
� concerning the subdivision and variances for
the Super Valu Store at Navarre. The Public
� Hearing Notice, Affidavit of Publication,
• and Certificate of Mailing to all concerned
citizens were presented.
� The Super Valu Stores are requesting a sub-
� division into two parcels property located
on the southwest corner of County Roads #15
� and #19 at Navarre. P�r. Poffenberger and
Mr. Erickson, representing Super Valu Stores,
• presented maps and plans regarding the sub-
• division.
* Mr. Poffenberger explained that the building
would be approximately 16 ,500 sq. ft. with
� expansion for an additional 4,000-5000 sq. ft.
and could be ready a year from now.

Councilmember Paurus discussed the parking
� for bus riders in that area and suggested
� writing to the MTC to request a different
bus stop to alleviate the parking problem.
� A plan was suggested for a bus stop at the
Navarre parking lot behind the stores on the
� north side of County Road #15.
� After all persons present were afforded an
opportunity to be heard, Acting Mayor
� Massengale closed the Public Hearing at
. 7: 50 P.M.
� Paurus moved, Welsh seconded, that the sub-
division and variances, as presented, be
� approved. Motion, Ayes (3) - PJays (0) .

f � �c�ing Mayor Massengale announced that this Public hearing
+ was the time and place for the Public Hearing 7: 50 P.M. Rezoning
concerning rezoning for the Super Valu Stores
� at Elavarre. The Public Hearing Notice,
Affidavit of Publication and Certificate
� of �sailing to all concerned citizens were
presented.

� Due to the fact that 4/5 of the Council was
not present in order to take action for
� rezoning, the Public Hearing was closed at
8: 00 P.M.

City Administrator Benson was instructed to
� place the rezoning for Super Valu Stores
on the agenda for the Council meeting of
� February 23, 1976.

� Acting P2ayor Massengale announced that this
was the time and place for the Public Hearing
� concerning the subdivision for I.D.S. Properties
located at 3425 Shoreline Drive in Pdavarre.
� The Public Hearing PJotice, Affidavit of
Publication and Certificate of Mailing to all
� concerned citizens were presented.
� Mr. Dennis Buratti, representing I.D.S.
� Properties, presented plans for the southwest
corner of County Road #15 and Kelly Avenue to
+ be divided into three parcels - two commercial
lots and one residential lot.

• After all persons present were afforded an
opportunity to be hear�,Acting P�ayor Massengale
� closed the Public Hearing at 8 : 10 P.D�.
� Paurus moved, �aelsh seconded, that the subdivision
for the I.D.S. Properties, 3425 Shoreline Drive,
� be approved. P•4otion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) .
� City Administrator Benson entered into the record
that assessments are due and payable on property
r involved.
� Paurus moved, Welsh seconded, that the meeting ADJOURNMENT
� be adjourned at 8 :20 P.M. P-4otion, Ayes (3) -
Nays (0) .
