Dear Mr. &Mrs. Kyle:
I am writing in regards to the demolition permit that was issued for 185 Landmark Drive.
I appreciate the timely response in which the house was demolished and hauled away,
however, certain conditions of the permit have not been done or documentation provided
to this office. The sewer line must be disconnected from the sanitary system to ensure
there is no infiltration of groundwater or soil into the manhole. The public works
supervisor is requesting that the line be cut off outside the manhole and capped off. This
will eliminate having to patch the hole in the manhole.
The well on the property must also be dealt with in some fashion. If you intend on using
the well in the future then a maintenance permit must be applied for from the Department
of Health Well Code Division. If you do not intend to use the well then it must be sealed
by a licensed well driller and the appropriate form provided to the City.
If either of these requirements have already been done, please provide the City with the
information. If not, please make arrangements to have the necessary contractors call for
inspection by September 1, 2006.
