The City of Orono Board of Equalization convened
t at 7:35 p.m. , Ju�s 3 , 1975, a� the Orono City Council
Chambers. Members present were Councilmen Paurus, -
• Butler and Massengale. Councilmen �Velsh arrived
• late. Also present were VJalter R. Benson, City Clerk-
Administrator; Robert Martin, County Assessor and
� City Assessor Glenn 1-iawkyard.
� Councilman Massengale instructed Mr. Benson to
pass out copies af the duties of the Board of Review
� to citizens in attendance. "
!` Appearing before the Board were :
�► Bernard Kogan - Plat 42520 - Parcel 1500 requested
� his lot in Crystal Bay be review due to the change
.in the zoning from commercial to residential .
� Sid Re�ers - Plat 41334 - Parcel 3027 requested
� a revaluation due to the change in the zoning from
1 acre to 2 acres .

. Richard �Yilliams - Plat 43120 - Parcels 5050,
5075 and 5104 requested the County review his property.
� Harry B. Stocker, 465 Spring Hill Road - Plat
� 41325 - Parcel 9010 requested the assessor review
his property. •

T�[rs. Butterfield - Plat 41332 - Parcel 4500
r �'� . � requested her property ( residence and business} be
• revievaed by the assessor.

43570 - Parcel 5250 general discussion as to the
� unequal assessment on new homes compared with older
homes in the sarae subdivision. No action.

Frank J. Wagner - Plat 42420 - Parcel. 3065 re-
�: • quested a review of his commercial properties .
� Thomas ��einer - Plat 41307 - Parcel 2630 asked
� for an explaintion of the increase in tax from 1974
to 1975. The Board suggested he go to the Assessor' s
f office to compare the tax due in 1974 and 1975.
� Cyrus Lynch - Plat 43570 - Parcel 4500 gene.ral

f James Horan - Plat 43300 - Parcel 4050 had re-
� quested the Assessor to revalue the property previovs
to the Board of Reviev� meeting . iVo change by the
� Assessor. The Board �tated they are aware of a problem
with the lake access next to his property.

D. J. Monteith - Plat 43240 - Parcels 1f300 and
� 3610 requested a revietiv of his two vacant lots .
