Regular Meeting of the Orono Council, 7s30 P.M.

� The Orono Council met on the above date
� with the following members present: Acting
Mayor Butler, Councilmen Paurus and Welsh.
� Absento Mayor Searles and Councilman

• Popham, Haik, 5chnobrich, Kaufman, & Doty,
was substituting for Bruce Malkerson who was
� out of town.

� Welsh moved, Paurus seconded, that the MINUTES
Minutes of the Regular I�teeting of Plarch 11,
• 1975, be approved. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) .
•
A reguest for a conditional use for Day CONDITIONAL USE
� Distributing was deferred as previously Day Distributing
� agreed upon by attorneys.
•
Doris Schroeder of the Human Rights Commission HUI�IAr1 RIGHTS COMMISSION
! gave a report on thP proposed ordinance. She Proposed Ordinance
� requested consideration of several changes in
�he current ordinance, namely--
a. Classification of school age members
� as an aid to quorum requirements.
• b. Classification of Council liaison as a
possible voting member left to choice
� by the term "either/or" in the ordinance.
•
� The Council agreed that Bernice Anderson APPOINTMENT
should be notified of her appointment to Human Rights Commission
� the Human Rights Commission through official
communication from the Villagee
•
� Mr. Patrick �+Iells of Lungren Broso Construction, BUILDING SITE
� requested Council's approval of a building site Lot 1, Willow Brook
on Lot l, Willow Brook. The request was based
� on Mr. Wells' opinion that proper percolation
tests were not feasible this time of the year.
• A letter from McCombs-Knutson Associates
dated PRarch 21, 1975, recommending against
• taking percolation tests this time of year was
� included with this request. On the basis of the
�greements and recommendations received from
cCombs-Knutson Associates,
� Paurus moved, Butler seconded, approval of the
request on condition that percolation tests be
� made and submitted for approval when conditions

� Paurus moved, Butler seconded, that the request SUBDIVISION

and a combination of these two portiohs with

It was previously agreed upon to defer th� request VARIANCE
� for a variance at 2610 Mapleridge Lane, to the 2610 27ap1eridge Lane
� Council meeting of April 8, 1975e However, PRr.
Dahl, P�[r. Bathke, and his attorney, Mr. Hassel,
� requested consideration of a change in the proposal
invoiving lot line changes, The Council instructed
� the group that a formal application for such a
proposal would have to be submitted for procedures
• necessary in all proposals of this type.

An informative item from the Planning Commission. SCHEDULED PLANNING
• The �lanning Commission agreed to hold one work COMP4ISSION R�TEETINGS�
session and one regular meeting each month
f scheduled for the Monday (one week) prior to
� each regularly scheduled Council meeting,
� License regulations for joint use multiple docks. AIULTIPLE DOCKS
� It was the decision of the Council that dock
license applications for the Minnetonka Potaer
• Squadron, Wayzata Yacht Club, and Fox Hills
� multiple docks would come under the regulations
of Chapter 74 of the Municipal Code rather than
� the commercial dock regulations,
� The Southwest Sat�itary Sewer District Rules of SOUTH��+I�ST SANITARY
� Procedure and �linutes of Advisory Board meeting SEWER DISTRICT
of January 16, 1975 were presented to Council.

� Welsh moved, Butler seconded, to approve the AGREEtZENT
agreement regarding the Dutch Elm Disease Program Dutch Elm Disease
� between the Village and Gerald Beach. Motion,

� Butler moved, Welsh seconded, to approve the SALARY ADJUSTNIENT
salary adjustment for Henry Muhich, as recommended Henry riuhich
� by the Village Administrator. P��tion, Ayes (3) -

�inclusion of Lots 4 & 5, Block 7, Crystal Bay Lots 4 & 5, Block 7
View, with previous resolution acquiring the Crystal Bay View
� Highwood property. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) .
� Because of a misunderstanding of resolutions, RENUMBERING RESOLUTIONS
� several previous resolutions require renumbering
as follows:

! Resolution ordering preparation of report
on improvement, water main extension project,
� numbered �572.
� The Joint Park Commissions resolution was JOINT PARK COMt�4ISSIONS

renewing a license for Wayside Kennels. A

� additional time wo�xld be necessary to check
the records to det�ermine exactly �ahat action
