These in- spections have been made to document compliance with safety requirements which are conditioned on the issuance of a license to operate on the original ski slope. r�r. Muhich to proceed with � final inspection this week to document ` Ski Tonka's intent to correct the existing safety deficiencies which are the conditions to granting a license to operate. Luoto, Project Engineer for the Minne- � sota Highway Department. He wanted to have a meeting with the Wayzata Police Chief, the Minnesota • Highway Patrol, and the Orono Police Chief on • November 13, 1974 at 2:0� P.r2. at the field office on the new U.S. 12 going through Wayzata to go � over the opening of the highway on Friday. + At this time, Mr. Luoto gave us maps of the new highway that was to open on November 15, 1974. � T�Ir. Luoto showed us a map of future U.S. 12 that is to continue through Orono and past t�iaple • Plain to tie into the old U.S. 12 at that point. I asked i�ro Luoto if we could have a map of the �` future U.S. 12. He gave me his card and asked i me to call him at a later date. � I contacted Dennis Luoto on November 20, 1974 and asked him if I could get a copy of the future • U.S. 12 through the Village of Orono. P3r. Luoto stated he would get a copy for me and call me � when he had it done. On the morning of November 21, � 1974, I received a call from rsr. Luoto and he stated he would have the copy at the Wayzata � field office at 11�00 A. P4e and I could come down and pick it up. MORATORIUM � Searles moved, Paurus seconded, to request the ZONIIVG PROPOSALS • legal department to redraft the zoning rpoposals and resubmit them to the City Council> Motion, • Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . • � The City engineer reported on the petition of DRAINAGE RAVINE residents between 4719 and 4745 North Shore North Shore Drive � Drive concerning a drainage ravine at that locationo The City Council requested the • engineer to proceed with negotiating recommend- � ed solutions through the DNR and Asinnehaha Creek Watershed District. � � The City engineer reported on the status of the LONG LAKE SE�rIER Long Lake sewer line serving the Orono rural CAPACITY � residential area located on property east of the Orono S_c':ools on Highway #12. It was • reported that the treatment plant, lift station � and lines were inadequate to carry capacity if allowed to connect to the present system, It � was also reported that there was inadequate capacity in the water booster station to supply water to the proposed development. • Butler moved, Tyiassengale seconded, to request FEASIBILITY STUDY the engineer to complete a feasibility study and � report back to the Council on January 14, 1974. Motion, Ayes (5) - P]ays (0) . • � The City engineer presented a progress report TYLER COMPLAINT on the Tyler-Jameson complaint at 3508 Ivy Place. • � The City Council recommended that the Department ORONO ORCHARD ROAD � of Natural Resources widen the clear span to BRIDGE 34 feet, including moving the West Bent to improve , sight distance on the prcposed bridge on the Luce Line Trail, Orono Orchard Roade They have • no funds in the budget for this cost, so that it would have to be delayed to the fiscal year � 1976? then it would be done at no cost to Orono. • � The City Council instructed the engineer to MAPLE AVENUE SURVEY locate T•Zaple Avenue at 3030 Casco Point Road � by a survey. � • • • � ' •� MINUTES OF A COIINCIL MEETING HELD DECEPZBER 10, 1974 Page 6 � Paurus moved, Butler seconded, that Hennepin DRAINAGE PROBLEM County be requested to install a metal pipe Tonkawa Road �flue with shoulder catch basin and surge basin, � as stated in the engineer's letter, on Tonkawa Road between the Larson and Kyllo properties. � Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . • The engineer was instructed to request from MINNETONKA BEACH SEWERS � Minnetonka Beach their intent to construct sewers � in their area and their schedules to connect to Orono's existing sewer line and what equities and � operating costs will be reimbursed to Orono. • Butler moved, Searles seconded, to approve the HACKBERRY PARK LIGHT � installation of a light at Hackberry Park for � the purpose of illuminating a skating rink. The total installation and operating costs will � be supported by the Optimist's Club.
