Commissions to address themselves to this type

with a petition from seven adjoining property

• It was brought to the attention of the City STUBB°S BAY I�IARINA
Council that the Stubb's Bay Marina was Restaurant
� operating a restaurant in a B-2 area and
� not a vendor type or carry-out food service
operation as intended under the conditional
� use permit granted November Z2, 1973.
� Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to grant a CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
variance to the moratorium and allow the Stubb's Bay rlarina
� Stubb's Bay PZarina to operate under the Restaurant
�resent conditional use permit until the
� December 2, 1974 Council meeting when a
� complete staff report shall be presented for
review. This allows for an extension of
� the conditional use permit which ��as to be
completely reviewed in November of 1974.

� The City Administrator submitted a request APPOINTI-TENT
from Hennepin County inviting us to appoint Comprehensive
one person to serve as a member on the advisory Transportation Plan
� committee to study and develop a Comprehensive
Transpprtation System Plan which will address
� itself to the needs 'for roadway�, stree��related
transit facilitating bikeways/pedways throughout
� the County in the future. This study is expected
to be developed in one year.

• Hennepin County Comprehensive System Plan Study.

salary adjustment for Mr. James Ericson from James Ericson
r $4040 per hour to $4e65 per hour effective
November 4, 1974. This is in accordance with
� the Class "D" Progressive Certification and
+ step increase program for sewer and water

salary adjustment for l�ir. Dave Goman from Dave Goman
� $5.22 per hour to $5. 60 per hour effective

screening board will be called to pick the
� top three candidates for Council interviews.

whereas the official deadline for items to be
� placed on the official City Council agenda shall

� Mayor Searles stated that this was the time to COUNCIL MEETING DATES
officially announce to Mr. John Kostouros,
reporter for the official Sun newspapers and
� to the general public, that the November 26,
1974 Council meeting would be postponed and
� rescheduled for Monday, December 2, 1974 at
7s30 P.N7. at the City Council Chambers at
� which time otficial business will be acted
upon. The agenda for Monday, December 2,
* 1974 shall also include the adoption of the
� Comprehensive Guide Plan, calling a public
hearing for Wednesday at 7: 30 P.h�. December 18,
� 1974 to be held at the Orono High School in
the cafeteria to hear the reZoning ordinance
i and to change the last official Council meeting
of the year from December 24, 1974 at 7: 30 P.T�i. ,
• Christmas Eve to December 19, 1974 at 7: 30 P.M.
• which will be held at the City Council Chambers.

Thursday, November 14, 1974, the Planning
� Commission will meet at the City Council
� Chambers with all marina operators and owners
in the City of Orono to discuss and review
� rezoning and license procedures for the 1975

�r�iayor Searles further announced that at 6: 30 P.M. PRECOUNCIL MEETINGS
� preceeding all 7: 30 P.M. official Council meetings,
� the City Administrator will meet with the City
Council publicly and informally at the Administration
• offices to discuss all City functions that require
attention and further study.

• Agr. Benson and Mr. John Ehrman met at the City JOINT AGAEEMENT
Administrator' s office November 4, 1974 at Orono- Minnetrista

deliver to his Council that evening and reply

� clerk to $8,000.00 per year, who will assume

� reviewed and forwarded a letter to the Metropolitan
Sewer Board requesting a review of the existing

which was designed to collect sewerage within
• Orono and Minnetonka Beach and to discuss
reimbursement of costs and the receipt of
� credits to which the City of Orono is entitled
� under the T�2etropolitan Sewer Service Laws.

The City engineer submitted a status report 3030 Casco Point Road &
� concerning 3030 Casco Point Road and �aple Maple Avenue
• Avenue. This it�em will be on the agenda for
the December 2, 1974 Council meeting.

� The City engine�r submitted a status report SUBDIVISION
concezning the Kermit Knutson subdivision Kermit Knutson
� explaining that Lot 1 has no access to the
lake and would have to use Lot 2, which is tax
� forfeited and belongs to the State of Minnesota.
The City engineer recommended that before docks
� are constructed, the problem should be resolved.
•
� The Orono City Council accepted the City SUBDIVISION
engineer's report and stated that approval Kermit Knutson
of the subdivision and construction of docks
has to be conditioned on engineering and legal
requirements.

Searles moved, Butler seconded, that the All BILLS
Fund Accounts 1765Q through 17802 and Liquor
Store Accounts 10326 through 10352, be paid.
