TZr. �3rad Van Nest, Planning Commission S member, displayed maps showing the various zoned areas in the Village of Orono. The addition and changes of certain wording was discussed vaith the changes being noted in the Comprehensive Guide Plan. The Planning Commission will present the PUBLIC �iEARING DATF . Lnal draft of the Com�rehensive Guide Plan at the Public Hearing scheduled for August 26, 1974 at the Orono High School cafeteria. PZr. Dave Opheim, Park Comr.iission Chairman, LUCE LINE TRAIL revie�aed the status of the proposed �NR Luce Line Development Plan. This nlan is to • �evelop six miles of Luce Line Trail between Highway 101 anu the Stu}�bs Bay Road � and would be designed for bicycles and horseback riding trails. The Park Commission is requesting of the ��etropolitan Council for more information concerning the details of the plan and potential c?evelopments of the trail going westo + T°Jelsh ?noved, Paurus seconded, to accept the T�lERRY-GO-ROUND donation of a merry-c�o-round offerec� b_y Glen Bennet, 1687 Concordia Street. Dave Opheir� appeared as a concerned LORD FLETCHER°S PROBLE�� citizen in regard to the "T��et T-shirt" contest being held at Lord Fletcher's in uring Park August 2�, 1974. Since the contest is being held in Spring Park, it was noted that Orono would have little control in the matter. It u�as decided to have the legal de�?artment � respond to the Council with an opinion on how to control this type of problem ��hich can result in a disturbance, nuisance and parking problem. It was also recommended that a letter expressing concern be sent to the CitY of Spring Park and to Lord Flet�her's. The police department was also instructed to coordinate their efforts with Hennepin , County in controlling �arking prohlems.
