� Al1 bids which had been. furnished before 10:00 A.M. ,
,7uly 19, 1974 were presented and read. The follow-

� Resolution �548 to issue and sell $1,700,000 Improvement Bonds
General Obligation Improvements Bonds of 1974
� to provide financing for the costs including,
contract price, construction,interest, legal
• and fiscal and miscellaneous consts of
constructing sanitary sewer improvements 73-1.
� The bond sale will be held at 7:30 P.i�i. on
� August 27, 1974. T�iotion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) .
� Searles moved, Butler seconded, to approve the LEASE AGREEMENT
� lease agreement between Westside Cycle�, Inc. Yamaha Cycle
and the City of Orono. The agreement shall
� run for 12 months with a rental payment of
� $1.00. It was emphasized that all conditions
set forth in the Acting Chief of Police's
� memo shall be strictly abided by. Motion,

There was a general discussion by the City INDOOR ICE ARENA
• Council in reference to the summary of a Hockey Boosters
� study submitted by the Mound-Westonka
Hockey Boosters and the evaluation of the
� needs for an indoor ice arena. P4r. [�illiam
Pitts, arena study chairman for the Mound-
� i�lestonka Hockey Boosters, discussed long-
range planning and joint use by participating
• school districts.

� The monthly Revenue & Expenditure Report REVENUE & EXPENDITURE

� Searles moved, Paurus seconded, to notify the NEW SiREETS INSPECTION
� City engineer's office that all newly developed
streets shall be inspected and approved, not
� only in design, but a�so during construction
�and after completion with every effort made
to protect the natural environment. The
• cost for all stages of inspections shall be

f Hennepin County to survey the speed zones on North Ferndale & County
North Ferndale and also County Road #19, Road #19, S. of #15
� south of County Road �15 to the City limits.
. Particular attention sh�uld be given to North
Ferndale whereas a 40 mile per hour speed
� limit would be desirable w3.th �Iayzata's and

� The nreliminary draft submitt�d by the PCA � S�taEkAGE DISPOSAL

� system construction was discussed. The concensus
� was that the report was following usual technical
guidelines and had not addressed itself to how
� to accommodate sewerage disposal in adverse soil
cQnditions while maintaining safe health standards.

w��h a��e well sampling can be compiled.
� A report shall be submitted to the Council
by the August 27, 1974 meeting.

Welsh moved, Butler seconded, to draft a JERRY ROSS LETTER
letter to Mr. Jerry Ross reminding him of
his combined 30-day vacation and 30-day
� leave of absence status, which will terminate
on September 12, 1974, thanking him for his
time spent in the employment of the City and
� wishing him the best in h�is new ventures in
