VILLAGE OF ORONO Regular Meeting of the Village Council , T: 30 P.�d. Septernber 22 , 1969 The Village Gouncil met on the above date with the following members present : �ayor Ross , Councilmen Butterfield, Franzel , Searles , and Stubbs. Councilman Butterfield left early. Butterfield moved, Searles seconded, that MINUTES the Minutes of the Regular �4eeting of September 8 , I9b9 , be approved as amended. Motion , Ayes (S) - Nays (0) . Stubbs moved, Searles seconded, that the VARIANCE rec{uest of John Demarais , 780- 790 North 780- 790 North Arm Drive Arm Drive , for a variance on lot frontage on Lots 7 � 8 , Aud. Sub. 362 , from 140 ' to 100' for each lot, be approved. A4otion , Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . Paul Doia , representative of the Lea�ue LEAGUE OF �4INNESOTA of A4innesota Municipalities , invited b4UNICIPALITIES the Village of Orono to join the h4etro Section of the League. A petition was received from a group PETITION representing the Navarre Bussinessmen 's Navarre Businessmen' s Association asking the Council to (1) not As�ociation approve Highway #15 dividers , and (2) t0 krE protect access through County Road #15 during construction instead of routing on County Road �19 and County Road #51 . No action was taken by the Council . Searles moved, Franzel seconded, that the SUN�AY LIQUOR LICENSES question of Split Liquor Sales and Sunday On Sale Liquor Licenses be put on the ballot for the November General Election. ��otion , Ayes (2) - Idays (2) . Mayor Ross abstaining. '�qotion not carried. Franzel moved, Butterfield seconded, that RES�LUTION #293 Resolution #293, A Resolution Requesting The Minnesota Highway Commissianer To Set Speed Limits On Certain Streets In The Village Of Orono, be adopted. h4otion , Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
