Dear Mr. Rood:
Per your request, this letter is to inform you, as a representative of the Hennepin
Conservation District (HCD), of my recommendations for sediment control on the area
surrounding the pond that was created on your property.
As we discussed when I met with you on April 19, 1994, seeding or sodding the
disturbed area around the pond should be completed immediately. If it cannot be
sodded immediately I would recommend that a silt fence be installed around the
designated wetland area to prevent sediment from entering the wetland. If you decide
to plant trees and/or shrubs, I would recommend that you select them from the
Hennepin Conservation District Aquascaping Guide for the lowland wet areas.
