VILLAGE OF ORONO <br /> Regular A�eeting of the Village Council, 7: 30 P.A4. <br /> June 9, 1969 <br /> The Village Council met on the above date <br /> with the following members present: 1�7ayor <br /> . Ross , Councilmen Butterfield and Searles . <br /> Absent : Councilmen Franzel and Stubbs. <br /> Searles moved, Ross seconded, that the MINUTES <br /> Tlinutes of the Regular Meeting of May 26, <br /> 1969, be approved as written. r4otion, <br /> Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br /> Roger Reed, attorney for Tonka Corporation, BUTLDING PERI�IIT <br /> appeared along with Harry Nelson, Jr. and 3750 Shoreline Drive <br /> Ray b4cEwan, Tonka Corporation officials , <br /> in regard to a building permit to construct <br /> a new truck terminal for their firm in the <br /> Navarre area of Orono. <br /> Searles moved, Butterfield seconded, that <br /> the matter be referred to the Planning <br /> Commission for review and recommendation. <br /> Niotion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br /> � <br /> i Jim Grathwol , attorney for Gayle's Marina, GAYLE'S MARINA <br /> appeared in response to a letter from the <br /> ' Village attorney concerning excess docks <br /> over the number licensed by the Village <br /> and the condition of some of the docks. <br /> Grathwol proposed that the Council meet <br /> with Gayle at 11 : 00 A.M. , Saturday, June 14, <br /> 1969, to discuss the matter at Gayle' s <br /> A4arina docks . The Council informally <br /> agreed to meet with Gayle as proposed. <br /> Dr. John Lehtenin appeared in response to BRO�VN' S BAY r1ARINA <br /> a letter from the Village attorney regarding <br /> excess length of docks at the Brown' s Bay <br /> Alarina. His docks have been extended to <br /> approximately 300 feet in the water. <br /> Butterfield moved, SearZes seconded, that <br /> Lehtenin be allowed only 194 feet of dock <br /> in the water and that any excess dock be <br /> removed within 30 days of receipt of a <br /> � notice the Clerk-Administrator is to mail <br /> � , him. l�iotion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br /> 1 � <br />
