An outline of the suggested materials and procedures to be used to
establish a native grass and wild,/lox►er buffer act

Site Description:
, The site is an upland pond edge consisting uf excavated soils. The soils are clay to clay loam. It is a
full �un area �hat is seasonally v�•et but probably hot and dTy in the summer months. The current
vcgetatic�n is mowed turf and a reed canarygrassr" catiail lower edge.
A. Site Prepsration:
1. In arcas w�ith actively growing vegetation apply Roundup Weatherma� or Rodeo�
herbicide as per manufacturer's directions. Allaw a minimum of 10 days before
disturbing the vegetation v��ith other procedures.
�. Burn c�ff the dead ��egetation by implementing a controlled burn using appropriate
procedures, equipn�ent and permits.
3. If dr}� or hardpacked sc►il conditions ere presen[ the site will be li�htly harrowed or
raked to create a firm, �mooth seedbcd.

1. Seeding dates shall be in the spring or summet before Augus[ l0'h or in the falt hetween
September 20`" and frecle-up.
