RE: Shed Construction
Dear Mr. Rice,
It has come to the attention of this department that you have recently constructed a shed
on your property at the above referenced address. This letter is to notify you that The City of
Orono requires a building permit for sheds.
Therefore The City must require you to submit a permit application with a survey
showing the location of the shed, hardcover calculations, and building plans. Please note that the
Orono zoning code does not allow sheds to be placed between the house and the street. A review
will be completed and if building and zoning requirements are met a permit will be issued. A
deadline of Apri128, 2003 has been established for permit application submittal or shed removal.
