I was able to visit and review the proposed installation area for a DCS-BGC366QAR-
N Outdoor Grill at 2605 Kelly Avenue,Orono,MN as it exists with two full walls
exposed(expecting only screens on the openings)_
DCS Grills are certified to ANSI Z21.58,the Standard for Outdoor Cooking Gas
Appliances. The intent of this standard and its wording is to eliminate the possibility
of accumulation of carbon monoxide from use of the grill(hence the requirement that
the grill not be used in an enclosed area). My interpretation of this type of
construction is that it reasonably meets the intent of the standard with respect to
"outdoor use"as I viewed it on 2/20/2015.
There is also a reasonable expectation that the installation of th�DCS product will be
completed per the DCS installation requirements.

Hi Lyle;
Attached is the letter promised to you for your inspection
Records on 2605 Kelly Avenue, Orono, MN. 55356.
Michael Mahin, Account Manager for Fisher and Paykel ,
met at the physical site, to assess the actual proposed
installation of their product, DCS Grill #DCS-BGC36BCU4R-N
I was present with Mr. Mahin, as well
as the site Superintendent for Garv Kraemer and Sons ,
�
Tom Wallantiny.
Aside from Mr. Mahins' inspection of the current construction
To date, he reviewed the proposed construction per Orono
City Permit Set. He was thorough to scrutinize all proposed
Construction including all (cabinetry, venting etc) surrounding
thus
Impacting the Fisher and Paykel DCS Grill Product.
Mr. Mahin then made his final
Assessment in the content of his attached letter to
Orono City.
As a courtesy to Fisher and Paykel, Mr. Mahin will be returning
to the site
After completion of the grill installation. This return trip
Will insure Fisher and Pavkel that the grill installation
Has met, and completed the DCS Installation Requirements.
Lyle, please let me know if we can move forward with
The grill installation based on this new information provided
