VILLAGE OF ORONO
Regular '�Teeting of the �%illage Council , 7 : 30 P.M.
March 14 , 1966 .
The Village Council met on the above date with
the following members present : Mayor Ross ,
Trustees Searles , Franzel , Schmitt and Bagley.
Bagley moved, Schmitt seconded, that the minutes MINUTES
� of the special meeting of February 17 , 1966 , be SPECIAL MEETING
approved. Motion , Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
{ Franzel moved , Searles seconded, that the minutes MINUTES
of the regular meeting of February 28 , 1966 , be REGULAR MEETING
• approved. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
Searles moved, Franzel seconded, that the reQuest PERMANENT SPECIAL USE
of Lee Primus for a permanent Special Use Permit PERMIT - SKI TONKA
for Ski Tonka be referred to the Planning
Commission and Park Commission for jtSint stud�
and public hearing. Motion, Ayes (5} - Nays (0) .
Searles moved , Schmitt seconded, that the PRELIMINARY PLAN

Searles moved, Schmitt seconded , that the 1966
dock license rec{uest for Gayle' s Marina be
denied for the following reasons : Motion ,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
1 . Dock sections in need of repair.
2 . Need provision for public sanitary facilities .
3 . Inadequate dock lighting.
4 . Change of location of fueling facility
needed. •
Searles moved, Schmitt seconded, that the 1966 a
dock license request for Stubb ' s Bay Resort he
denied for the following reasons : Motion , �
Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
1 . Dock facilities not meeting satisfactory
safety standards .
2 . Dock area in need of clean-up .
Searles moved, Schmitt seconded, that the 1966
dock license request for Howard' s Landing ,
reducing dockage to 104 slips , be approved .
Motion , Ayes (4) - Nays (1) , Trustee Bagley
voting nay.
Searles moved, Schmitt seconded, that the
following 1966 Dock Licenses be approved.
Motion , Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .

Schmitt moved, Searles seconded, that the ADJOURNMENT
