� Gaelsh moved, Paurus seconded, to approve P�INUTES
� �he i�Zinutes of the Regular Meeting of
:Tanuary 28, 1974, but amending the Minutes
� to show the institutions name that requested
� �he liquor license be tabled. F�Iotion,

� �:exter Marston informed the Council that SUBDIVISION
i�;em #3, Casco Corporation, subdivision, had Casco Corporation
• '�een withdrawn from the agenda by request of

• �-:r. Primus informed the Council that the SKI TONICA
�:--:tra supervision had been put on the hill
� �.� required in the Turnbull report. The
� City Council instructed the staff to go out
�nd verify the fact that additional super-
��ision had taken place. The T�iayor ordered
:-_nat this item be tabled until the February 25,
� ,_974 Council meeting.

� Welsh moved, Paurus seconded, to approve BUILD:ING PERMIT
the building permit for Lot 4 , Block 2 , 2120 Webber Hills Road
� Webber Hills, at 2120 Webber Hills Road;
and to grant an exception to the building
� moratorium. Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) .

� Welsh moved, Paurus seconded, to approve BUILDING PERMIT
the building permit for Section 9 , Parcel 1100 Old Crystal Bay Road
� 1200 at 1100 Old Crystal Bay Road, and
grant an exception to the building moratorium.
� Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) .

• P�Iarty Walsh, the assessor, gave a report ASSESSOR' S REPORT
on property taxes to the City Council.
�
� The Council reviewed the kennel license KENNEL LICENSE
renewal for Wayside Kennels, which is Wayside Kennels
� owned by Mr. Norman Larson. The following
people in the audience had comments to
� make in regard to the license; Michael
� Down, Ms. Dantis, Mary Arvogast, Rosemary
LeBruch, John Hollander, Del Franz , Frank
� Child, Mrs. John Hammel, Mary Lou Degner,
John Lanier. After the City Council
� received comments from the public concerning
this matter, the Mayor ordered this item
� tabled until the February 25, 1974 meeting.
The Council further instructed the City staff
� to work with Frank Child and City attorney
� to review the ordinance and present possible
ordinance changes and staff recommendations
` concerning this license at the next Council
meeting.

� Welsh moved, Paurus seconded, to instruct CITY ATTORNEY
the City Administrator to select three law
� firms to include the current law firm for
• the purpose of receiving from them a
statement for Council consideration
concerning their services in the capacity
� of City Attorney. The City Administrator
� will report back to the Council at the time
the dates for interviews have been established.
� Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) .

• The Council also decided at this time that CITY ENGINEER
a decision for the consulting engineer would
� not be made until the full Council is present.

resolution concerning the desire to make
� the se�•�er pipes of Orono tliat will be
. connected with i�Zinnetonka Beach a i�Tetro
Interceptor Line. The proposed resolution
� ��ill be placed on the agenda for February 25,
1974.

� Paurus moved, Welsh seconded, to approve the BOARD OF REVIEL�I DATE
date of June 3, 1974, as the date of the
� Tax Board of Review. T�otion, Ayes (3) -
� Nays (0) .
� Paurus moved, L�Telsh seconded, of expending FEDERAL REVENUE FUNDS
� :��00-$500 of Federal Revenue Sharing Funds Horse Patrol
for the necessary uniforms and radio requests

� 1974 , and give general comments ro represent
the City' s view concerning freeze on property
� vatuation and levy limitations and planning
����cts that the City has concern in its
• �_^�_Ationship to the State.

� The City Attorney gave a report to the Council CASCO PARK DEED
�orcerning the Casco Park deed in which a
� i�2�. Hassel is arguing over the terms of the
�eed. The Council instructed the City Attorney
• tc tell i�-Iro Hassel that the deed was going to
�e filed unless he had a complaint and if he
� �aid have a complaint, he should come before
�',n Council on Febr�ary 25, 1974, and so state
� �zia case. If he does not come forth, the deed
� �:-i11 be filed. The City Attorney is hereby
� r,��ructed to notify P1r. Hassel that he will
�u.-e an opportunity to present his case before
':',� Council on �ebruary 25, 1974 meeting.

� �he City Attorney presented a letter concerning ELECTION LAt��S
�the new election laws an3 the Council wished
an opportunity to review it more closely and
� tabled this item and ordered it put on the
agenda for the February 25, 1974 meeting.

• The City Attorney gave a report on the land LArID u9E CONFERENCE
use conference which he had attended and
� presented information from that meeting,
� The City Attorney reported to the Council LEDSTRODI LAU7SUIT
� that the meeting between himself and the
Ledstrom attorney has not taken place as of
� yet and no further progress is reported at
� this time.
� The City Attorney informed the Council that S.A.C. LAWSUIT
� the S.A.C. lawsuit is still pending and no
Einal decision has been made.

• The City Attorney also informed the Council CITY OF ORONO
� that technically the Village of Orono is now
a City and that the term City should be used in
r all of our legal documentations to include
resolutions, ordinances, legal documents,
� etc. that we use in our day to day operations.
�
. The report presented by the Engin�er TISA FUNDS
concerning 2yiunicipal State Aid funds and
� their use and priorities was accepted by
the Council and the Council directed that
� it be referred to the Planning Commission for
their comments due to the fact that this �aould
• have an �ffect on the Comprehensive Plan on
the transportation corridors.
