Within the B and I districts,wall and monument signs are permitted subject to the following regulations: (1) 8-1, 8-2 and 8-4:size.Within the B-1, B-2 and B-4 districts,the aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall not exceed the sum of one square foot for each front foot of building, plus one square foot for each front foot of lot not occupied by a building. No individual sign shall exceed 50 square feet. (2) 8-3: size. Within the B-3 district, the aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall not exceed the sum of four square feet per front foot of building, plus one square foot per front foot of property not occupied by a building. No individual sign surface shall exceed 100 square feet. (3) /:Within the I District, signs shall be permitted according to the regulations in section 78-832. Please note, according to the PUD agreement, City Council approval is required for signage not originally included in the approved site plan and Planned Unit Development No. 3 Agreement(attached). You may recall a similar process in 2004 for both the monument sign and the Orono Dental wall sign. Additionally there are a couple pieces of information missing for the permit review, as follows (permit submittal requirement #2): 1. Site plan indicating locations of all existing signage; and 2. Site sign inventory with signage square footages (&dimensions) for existing signs. Upon receipt of the missing information your sign permit request will be placed on a City Council agenda for consideration.
