Box 240, Hanover, Minnesota 55341 Plans Dated: October 15, 2008 Date Received: October 22, 2008, October 17, 2008 Date Reviewed: October 23, 2008 SCOPE: The plans and specifications describe the water service and building sewer connections for the referenced facility. The review is limited to the design of this particular project only, and does not cover the plumbing within the building. The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The responsibility for the design of structural features anci the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. Special care should be taken to insure that the material and inatallation are in accordance with the provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code and applicable licensing requirements. Enclosed is a copy of the report and transmittal letter to be forwarded to the project owner. , � INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations, including water service and�building sewers, rriust be tested and � inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. It is the responsibility of the contractor/installer to notify the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry when an installation for a state � � �� contract job, licensed facility, or project in an area where there is no local administrative authority is ready for an � inspection and test. To schedule inspections, contact the state plumbing standards representative for your region, � or call Jim Peterson at 651/284-5889. REQUIREMENT(S): 1. The PVC plastic pipe material to be used for the building sewer must meet one of the following ASTM Standards: D3034, F789, D2665, or F891. The installation must comply with AST1V1 Standard D2321 (see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0530). 2. All joints and connections in the storm sewer system shall be gastight or watertight (see Minnesota Rules, part 4715.0700). Approveci resilient rubber joints must be used to malce watertight connections to manholes, catchbasins, and other structures. Cement mortar joints are permitted only for repairs and connections of existing]ines constructed with such joints (see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0750). 3. DLictile iron pipe (DIP) used for water service must comply with ANSUAWWA Standard C115/A21.15 ar C151/A21.51 (see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0510). 4. The distance between cleanouts in building sewers may not be over 100 feet (see Minnesota RLiles, part 4715.1010). 5. The service connections must be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820. Orono Professional Building Sewer and/or Water Service Connection Plan No. 095831 Page 2 October 23, 2008 6. The water service must be disinfected in accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2250. 7. Plumbinb plans for the building interior must be submitted to and approved by this office prior to any installation inside the building. NOTE(S): 1. The scope of this project consists of the installation of new municipal water and sewer service connections for a new Uuilding. A i,-inch saniia�y �ewer is�roviueu al 2 percent slope, and a 10-inch storm sewer service is provided at 2 percent slope. Prior to the installation of additional plumbing, not covered by this review, plans and specifications must be submitted to and approved by this office. Authorization for construction in accordance with the approved plans may be withdrawn if construction is not undertaken within a period of two years. 'The fact that the plans have been approved does not necessarily mean that recommendations or requirements for change will not be made at some later time when changed conditions, additional information, ar advanced knowledge make improvements necessary.
