� attempt to establisli a 100$ ec{ualizatioii
fails to recognize tiie amount of dollars

comr�ercial areas of the core cities .

� c. T:ie Council feels that Seiiate Bill #410
is a piecemeal effort to settle overall

directed the staff to do Phase I themselves .

� Police Cl�ief' s report on the intersection #12 �, Old Crystal Bay Rd.
of Highway #12 and Old Crystal Bay Road.

� Superintendent, expressed i:he concern of
w tlie School Board over the liazards of tlie
iiitersectioii because scliool buses , the school
� staff and the parents all travel through
t,iis intersection in coming to a�id from the
� school buildings. The Sciiool Board is
williiig to iielp in trying to establisii
• some sort of traffic control system, preferably
� a stop ligiit, at t�ie intersection. The
scliool i�udget looked favorable for some money
� to sliare in the cost of a stop ligIit but that
tlie State and t;ie commwiity of Orono should
S all share in tiie cost.
� The Village Council tiien instructed t;ie
Ciiief of Police to follow up oii the r�nuest
� for a traffic study and see tiiat a copy of
t�ie results are sent to tIle Sc�iool Board.

� T�ie Council iiistructed the Village staff to
get the State Hig3iway llepartment involved
� wit;i this problem and to draw u� a format for
the snaring of the cost of stop lights amoiig
� all cozicerned parties ,

� T:ie VillaQe Attorney reported he is still UTILITY CORRIDORS
working on aii ordinance regulating pul�lic
� utility corridors .

The Village Council directed the Attorney to ORDIIVANCE
� revise the Proposed Sewer Rate Penalty orclinance Sewer Rate Penalty
� to read 45 days before penalty taould become
effective and to add an 8o penalty to those
uii aid b�lls which the Village Iias to levy at
� t�ie end of eacii year.

the Navarre area. The Village Engineer
� was directed by the Council to develop
standards for water connection charpes .
