Ross called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M. The following Trustees were present: R. L. Searles, R. M. Franzel, W. J. Schmitt, and the following were absent: C. G. Ireys. OATH OF OFFICE - ADMINISTRATOR The Mayor administered the Oath of Off ice of Clerk-Administrator to Mr. Frank E. Mi$a, �Tr. • . � MSNUTES The minutes of a regular meeting held December 28, 1964 were � read and approved. SCHOOZ BUS SHELTERS - ANTHONY Mr. Tom Anthony r�.ppeared before Council to inquire the status of his previous request for his company to erect an aluminum school bus stop shelter on the property owned by Mr. I,arry Hork on County Road �51. Council deferred a decision until the next regular meeting, to be held January 25 , 1965 . ORDINANCE - PROPOSED GARAGE CODE � The Village Building Inspector appeared before Council to present a proposed garage code. Af ter discussion, action was deferred for further study. ZONI�TG - STUBBS BAY RESORT � Mr. and Mrs. Orville Keiran appeared before Council to inquire about the decision of the Planning Commission regarding rezoning , of Stubbs Bay Resort. The Mayor explained the new zoning code is still bein� studied. Franzel suggested a written liat of their desired improvements for the resort for 1965 be presented to the _ _ • Administrator. � - BUILDING PERMIT - WEBER Mr. Ernest J. Weber of Edina Realty appeared before Council to � explain he wanted to sell Parcell 2000, �Vinship Subdivision of Spring Park, but could sell it only if a building permit for a home could be issued. It was the consensus of Council that a home could be built under the present code , subject to the pro- vision of an adequate sewer system and hook-up to tYie municipal sewage system as soon as it is available. • � MIIdUTES OF A REGIILAR �ZEETING HE7�D JANUARY 11, 1965 Page 2 . SEWER ASSESSMENT - &NRPHY • 5earles moved to correct the sewer assesament from .11 to 1.1 against Georgia F. Murphy, Section 16, T.117 , Range 23 , Plat 41316 , Parcel 1000. The motion was seconded by FranZel and carried with 4 ayes and no nays. NNNICIPAZ PARKING I,OT I,IGHTING CONTRACT Searles introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution #79 • A Resolution Accepting I,ighting For Municipal Parking Lot � (See Resolution Book - Page 74) • The motion for adoption was seconded by FranZel and carried with a vote of 4 ayes and no nays. FINAZ PAYNi.ENT FOR PARCEI,S FOR PARKING I,OT Schmitt introduced the following Resolution and moved its . �doption: Resolution #80 A Resolution Authorizing Final Payment For Parcels of Land For Navarre Parking I,ot (See Resolution Book - Page 74) � The motion for adoption was seconded by Franzel and carried with a vote of 4 ayes and no nays. � APPOINTMENTS - 1965 Franzel moved the following appointments : • Off icial Newspaper - Minnetonka Herald �' Acting DQayor - W. J . Schmitt Health Officer - Dr. W. J. Rieke • Planning Commission Member - R. I,. Searles Village Engineer - Wm. T. Mills The motion was seconded by Searles and carried by a vote of 4 ayes and no nays. Council designation of depositories was deferred. J. Russell, H. S. Rice and D. W. Judkins to the Planning Commission, terms to expire December 31, 1967. � APPOINTMENT - PARK COI�MISSION The Council agreed to the re-a�pointment oY Mrs. Paige Zehman to • the Park Commission, the term to expire January, 1968. REPRESENTATIVE - HENNEPIN COUNTY IIEAGUE OF '.�dTJNICIPAI,ITIES Searles introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution #81 - A Resolution Designating Representative And Alternate Representative To The Hennepin County League of Municipalities (aee Resolution Book - Page 7?) The motion for adoption was seconded by Franzel and carried with a vote of 4 ayes and no nays. SEWER COMPLAINT - DOZLIFF Schmitt moved Engineer Mills memorandum of December 16 , 1964 in • reply to blr. Roger polliff' s letter of November 23, 1964 be filed with Mr. Dolliff' s letter as a matter of record. The motion was seconded by Franzel and carried with a vote og 4 ayes and no nays . � • B I I,I,S , The prelist of general accounts 5478 through 5533 inclusive, � Ziquor Store Accounts 3830 through 3857 inclusive, sewer accounts 5-479 through 5-498 inclusive and Sewer Bond Retirement Fund 5-499 was reviewed. A motion by Schmitt to approve the accounts and � order them paid was seconded by Searles and carried, with a vote of 4 ayes and no nays.
