R. Ross, and C . 14T. Franzel, C . R. Quady, ��V. J. Schmitt and R.Z. Searles and the follow- ing members absent: none. T���NU TES • The minutes of � special rueeting held May 18, 1964 were read and � approved. N OPEN BIDS - I,IQUOR STORE COOLER The I47ayor announce� that this was the time and the place for opening bids for an ice cooler f or the Ziquor Store as advertised. The Clerk read the advertisenent for bids and displayed affidavit of advertisement for bids in the official newspaper. The Clerk opened and read aloud the bids : Joro Mfg. Co. Proposal A $2275 " B �1825 Displa.v Fixture� , Ir_c . Proposal A �1918 �� B �1690 �lternate $1613 ��uady r.oved that tYie bid of �1690 by Display Fixtures , Inc . be accepted. The motion was seconded by Schmitt and carried. MINNEGASCO - PERMIT #5-175 Searles moved approval of Minnegasco' s Permit �5-175 subject to the recommendations of the Village Engineer. The motion was seconded by Searles and carried. Searles moved to approve the plan as outlined in the plarl submitted by 4Yilcox Excavating Company for Richard Neslund. The rsotion was seconded by Franzel and carried. APPOINTb4ENTS - PARK COPJIMISSION Franzel moved the appointment of the follo�F,in,�; to the Park Comrilission for the terms indicated: • Name Term Expires � l�2rs. BOARD OF REVIE�V The Board of Review� ��vill meet on July 10, 1964 , the date set b5T the Countyr Sunervisor of Assessments . Council set the time ��t 7 : 30 P.P�I. SAi�TITARY SE`;Y�R - 64-LS-1 Member Searles introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution #51 Resolution Ordering Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 64-ZS-1 f (See Resolution Book - Page 43) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly � seconded by member Quady; and upon a vote being t�.ken, the fo11o�F,T- ing rnembers voted in favor thereof: Ross, Franzel, Quady, Schmitt • and Searles, and the following members voted against the same: none , whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. The engineer then presented his tabulation of bids received on May 18, 1g64 for construction of Sanitary Sewer Improvement No. 64-ZS-1, which bids were then considered by the Council. Member Franzel introdueed the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution #52 Resolution Awarding Contracts For Construction Of Sanitary �ewer Improvement 64-LS-1, Determining Total Cost and Calling For The Sale of Bonds . � (See Resolution Book - page 44) � - Page 3 - ` MINUTES OF A REGULAR b�ETING HELD MAY 25, 1964 • The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by menber Schmitt; and upon a vote being taken, the following members voted in favor thereof: Ross , Franzel, Quady, Schmitt and Searles, and the following voted against the same : none , �vnereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted. 3 .2 I,ICENSE - LIGHTHOUSE Carl Jonas and R. Maw requested issuance of their 3.2 beer on sale license, 3.2 beer off sale license, set up license and cigarette license for the current quarter, and permission to open for the • holiday business It�2ay 30th. Searles moved the request be honored �nd ordered the Administrator to issue the licenses upon receiving � written approval from the State , the Village Building Inspector and the Police Chief, stating all requirements for the issu�,nce of licenses � had been met. The motion was seconded by Franzel and carried. HORSE COT�SPI,AINT - FOREST LAKE AREA The Council discussed a recent public nuisance complaint in the Forest I,ake area about the keeping of horses by P�4r. Earl Norwood. Franzel moved that the keeping of horses , in this case , be declared a public nuisance and be ordered abated. The Motion was seconded by Ross and did not carry, with �uady, Searles and Schmitt voting r a.y. BUIZDING PERP��IIT - BOSACKER Council considered a building permit by G. Bosacker for a dwelling on part of Lot l, Block 2, Townsite of Langdon Park. The building site is approximately 47 feet wide at the building line . Searles moved the building permit be approved, but, issued only at such tirae that the Council has ordered sewer constructed to serve the propert,y and th�.t side yard requirements be reduced to approximately 8 feet on each side . The motion was seconded by Schmitt and carried. • BILZS � The �;relist of' �e�ner�l accounts 4639 through 4671 inclusive , sewer � accounts S-2U9 through 5-220 inclusive, �,nd liquor store accounts 3354 through 3375 inclusive was reviewed. A motion by �uady to approve the accounts and order them paid was seconded by Franzel and carried. ADJOURNMENT Schmitt moved adjournment at 11:40 P.P�"..
